Puffins are unusual sea birds. You will not see one on the mainland or the ocean coast. To see a Puffin you would have to take a boat trip out on the ocean. Puffins live almost their entire life at sea, far from land. Puffins return to land to nest, rarely near mainland, instead nesting Puffins head to islands in the ocean.
